Developing the Aerial Parasitic Platform
One of Bråttsjy’s ongoing development projects is the Aerial Parasitic Platform (APP), a concept exploring how drones can physically interact with and attach themselves to existing structures within their environment.
Rather than operating solely as conventional UAVs, APP-enabled systems are designed to perch on objects such as poles, terrain features or infrastructure, allowing them to function as temporary observation, communication and mission-support nodes.
The concept aims to bridge the gap between drones and infrastructure, creating new possibilities for distributed sensing, situational awareness and networked operations.
While the project remains in an early development phase, we believe the technology has significant potential across multiple application areas.
